About Our Training Programs and Courses
Since opening our doors in 1992, our Occupational Training Division has offered a variety of part-time self-interest programs, industry-specific certification courses, as well as full-time post-secondary programs licensed through the Ministry of Alberta Advanced Education.
Occupational (vocational / career) training prepares individuals with the skills, hands-on experience, and knowledge needed to enter into employment in a specific field. We provide quality training and service because we offer skilled personal assistance through qualified instructors who have applicable industry experience.
Individuals receive a certificate (or several) upon successful completion of a program or course. Certification provides a measure of confidence by giving employers a credential for judging competencies achieved!
An Intake Officer at Training Inc. may offer several avenues of funding for learners: Grants, Student Aid, Scholarships, Bursaries, etc. Some of our students or programs are partially or fully funded in partnership with Alberta Human Services, various FNMI programs, and other private and corporate training partners.
Training Inc. also supports job search and employment opportunities after completion, through resume writing assistance and workshops, as well as through individual employment counselling that leads to successful career opportunities and job placements. Students requiring employment support may be referred to our Career and Employment Services at no cost.
