Employment Works Program
This program is available to employment-ready individuals who have some barriers to employment, and to individuals who reside in rural communities. It provides individualized services and workshops intended to improve job search and/or life management skills.
The individualized coaching addresses each persons unique situation and provides the support required to gain and maintain employment. Services continue for up to three months or until employment is secured. Six months of post-employment follow up support is also provided.
Services include one or more of the following:
- Individualized job search support
- Job search and personal management workshops
- Resume and cover letter development
- Career Planning workshops
- Job placement assistance with 6 months of follow up support
- Access to a fully-equipped career center (phones, fax, computers, job board, etc)
Job Club (Lethbridge only)
This one-week workshop is intended for individuals who only require some assistance in their job search. By attending these workshops, individuals will effectively master job search and career planning strategies and will have the “leading edge” when applying for employment.
Participants will also receive personalized support after the workshop to assist them in making a quick and smooth transition back into the workforce.
